The Bonsecours Market is located right at the heart of several of Montreal's major tourist attractions that are visited annually by more than eleven million people. It borders on Montreal's Old-Port and its many places of interest, such as the IMAX theatre, the Montreal Interactive Science Centre and the Bonsecours Basin where numerous blockbuster shows take place regularly.
The Bonsecours Market, a stone's throw away from Place Jacques-Cartier, is visited year-round by both Montrealers and people from out-of-town. The Market's neighbours include Montreal City Hall, the Château Ramezay Museum, the Notre-Dame-de-Bon-Secours Chapel, the Marguerite-Bourgeoys Museum and the Sir Georges-Étienne Cartier National Historic Site.
A leisurely walk along the river takes the visitor by the Pointe-à-Callière Archaeology and History Museum, the Montreal History Centre and Notre-Dame Basilica.
ACCES AND PARKING
Getting to Marché Bonsecours is simple.
To begin with, there is the Champ-de-Mars metro station, which is located only 300 meters from the Market. This station is only one subway stop away from "Underground Montreal", the most extensively developed web of underground walkways in America.
